Elli Gilgal Models seeks to express internationality and diversity in a fresh way. At the same time, the agency is contending for equal opportunities and diversity in the fashion world. Through a cross-sectoral display of black models – People and Kids – Elli Gilgal Models supports a more positive self-image of black people in Germany. Our goal is to enrich the face of international campaigns, films, catalogs, fashion shows and the like, while impacting society at the same time.
ACHTUNG VOR AFRICA
Schönheit entdecken und Achtung vor Afrika wecken
sind von Anfang an die Motivation und der Leitgedanke meines Schaffens gewesen, was 2016 auch zu der Gründung von Elli Gilglal Models geführt hat.
Ob als Pädagogin – oder jetzt als Geschäftsführerin von Elli Gilgal Models – empfinde ich es als Privileg und sehr erfüllend, Menschen dabei zu helfen, ihr volles Potential zu entdecken, ihre Chancen wahrzunehmen und sie bei der Erreichung ihrer Ziele zu unterstützen.
Der Agenturname Elli Gilgal ist charakteristisch für das Unternehmen und setzt sich aus meinem Vornamen Elizabeth und dem Ortsnamen Gilgal zusammen.
Gilgal klingt wie ein Wortspiel, besitzt jedoch eine tiefgründigere Bedeutung, die ihre Wurzeln in der Spiritualität hat.
Gilgal liegt am Jordan. Nach alttestamentlicher Überlieferung hat Jahwe an diesem Ort den Israeliten nach 400-jähriger Sklaverei zugesprochen:„ Heute raffe ich hinweg die Schande deiner Sklaverei“.
Diesen befreienden Zuspruch habe ich symbolisch auf die Geschichte Afrikas übertragen, die ebenfalls 400 Jahre Sklavenhandel beinhaltet. Aus diesem Grund habe ich Gilgal als Denkmal für „Freiheit“ im Agenturname verankert.
Wichtiger Bestandteil der Philosophie von Elli Gilgal Models ist es einen achtsamen und respektvollen Umgang mit der Vergangenheit zu kultivieren und gleichzeitig aktiv Zukunft mitzugestalten.

Discover beauty and awaken respect for Africa
has been the driving motivation and guiding principle of my work from the very beginning, which also led to the founding of Elli Gilglal Models in 2016. My vision is to positively shape and influence the image of black people in Germany with and through Elli Gilgal.
Whether as an educator-or now as CEO of Elli Gilgal Models – I feel privileged and very fulfilled to help people discover their full potential, recognize their gifting, help them seize their opportunities and to achieve their goals.
The agency name Elli Gilgal is characteristic of the company and is made up of my first name Elizabeth and the name Gilgal.
Gilgal sounds like a wordplay, but has a more profound meaning, which has its roots in spirituality.
Gilgal is a literal place at the Jordan. According to Old Testament report, Gilgal is the place where Jahwe exclaimed to his people after 400 years of slavery: “Today, I will remove the shame of your slavery!”
I symbolically transferred this liberating claim to the history of Africa, which also includes 400 years of the slavery. That’s why I anchored Gilgal as a Monument to “Freedom” in the agency name.
An important part of Elli Gilgal Models’ philosophy is to cultivate a mindful and respectful approach to the past, while actively shaping the future.
